Black Asteroid is Bryan Black.

Former engineer for Prince, one half of the critically acclaimed MOTOR, DJ, producer, and live performer. Black is a force of electronic power and precision whose current incarnation as Black Asteroid sees the auteur in his most decisive campaign to date.

Always interested in expressing himself, and with an obsession with sound and graphic design, he kickstarted his music career under Prince at Paisley Park Studios. From there, he set about making techno from a new perspective- in a traditional song structure format.

His first EP, Engine, became an instant hit and was a precursor to what soon became known as industrial techno. These original tracks as well as remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode have set a new and uncompromising standard with their otherworldly sounds and shapes.

His unique sounds have always drawn the attention and praise of other creatives. Fashion designer Rick Owens picked up on his unique soundscapes and requested Black's music for his runway shows in Paris. And just like Owens, we are thrilled to align ourselves with a talented artist who not only shares an ingrained love of sound design and music, but also an appreciation for simple, thought-provoking visuals.

Black Asteroid has brought his explosive DJ and live sets to events all over the World including a sold-out 12,000 capacity Palazzi Dei Congressi in Rome and continues to craft incredible sounds.

Listen or download his Valley X Black Asteroid Mix below, step into our oversized, rectangular collaboration frames, and let Black Asteroid be the soundtrack to your day.
